Businesses start for many reasons. Most are started to purely provide income to support those that own the business and those that work for it. Funke Clean, LLC. was started for other reasons. It was started to bring a sense of fulfillment and purpose. 

Let me share our story with you.  Funke Clean, LLC. is owned and operated by the Funke family – Dan, Cindy, Carli, Ben, and Tyler. It was established in the summer of 2019 to allow me to work one on one with my son’s Ben and Tyler. 

Ben and Tyler have disabilities that make it a challenge for them to learn and develop skills in a normal educational or work setting.  Stephen Hawking once said, “Disability need not be an obstacle to success.” Cindy and I have always believed this to be true. We felt that pressure washing could be a simple skill or trade that Ben and Tyler could do if they had support and someone working with them. I grew up on a farm in Iowa and spent the days working one on one with my father and my siblings. It could be a challenge at times, but it was also extremely rewarding. When working in a one on one setting you learn by doing – which I feel is extremely important. My hope is to provide a learning by doing opportunity for Ben and Tyler and provide high quality cleaning services to our customers.

You may be asking “What does this guy know about pressure washing?” I assure you that when you hire Funke Clean, LLC you are hiring a reputable and experienced company. As I stated earlier, I grew up on a farm in Iowa. I spent many hours pressure washing farm machinery, buildings, metal roofs, and the inside of swine buildings. I also worked for a cheese processor for many years helping their supplier dairies maintain the cleanliness of their equipment and facilities in order to pass state and federal inspections.
